Got car back with LT1 intake on my 305
I picked it up Wednesday night. It still needs some tuning. Its running a little rich. I put the old injectors back in tonight, Thursday, and that cured some of the richness. I put on a new set of plugs in and an MSD stock replacement coil.
So far my impressions:
Before: From a stop and flooring it, a little squeal from the tires and a firm shift into second with a bit of tire chirp.
After: Flooring it from a stop, burns tires through most, if not all of first and a some burning of the tires in second.
Before: A lot of Torquery feel.
After: Still a good amount of Torque feel but with the tires roasting, I can't really tell.
The LT1 cam and the Torquer heads seem like pretty good components for a 305. And of course the Intake.
Once again Tracey at Scott Racing and Performance did top notch work.

I don't have the intake, but I do have the LT1 cam, and it's like it was made for the 305. It's a nice streetable cam, and helps bump up the powerband. I rev mine to 6K, and it pulls hard all the way before hitting the rev limit I set there.

Im also running the LT1 cam. Even with the stock tbi unit, it loves to rev with the Vortec heads and the Performer RPM intake. I let my tranny wind to 6000, too. Cant wait for a 2" tbi, then the fun starts!
