Head sizes

I'm planing on a build up of a 350 this summer. When i buy heads for it, i wont want to do t again. If i decide to throw a power adder on it (not for a long time).. Nitrous, blower .. will the 195cc be enough or should i step it up to a 210cc? Keep in mind that if i go with the 210cc, they will be on a daily drievn engine with NO power adder to start with. Theres no doubt in my mind that i will use AFR heads, but whats the deal with this.. ive heard some experiance valve float around 6000rpm?? Anyone experiance this, if so, what are a few fixes for this problem?
thanks

I'd say 200cc will work for that app. To prevent valve float, use stronger springs. All matched to the cam profile, of course.

I am not sure of the cost of the AFR 190 and 195. If you look at the specs on the two heads there is not but very little difference between them. The intake ports are a little bigger on the 195 for different intakes. The 210 would be ok but you have to watch the cam so you have enough vacuum at idle. I run a LPE 525 lift with the SuperRam and LPE ported and polished Vette heads. The idle is rough unless you bump the idle up to 1100 RPM. I set mine at 950 so at idle it is around 675 RPM's. If you are going to supercharge then go with a supercharger cam. If I had it to do over I would have gone with the 210 L98 comp heads. Also make sure you get the hydr rev kit with the heads and you won't have a problem with valve float. The Lingerfelter heads come with the double springs and I have never had a problem. My engine stops pulling at 6000 RPM's tho. I hope this helps.

I think i might go with the 210's then. Any other warnings i should know about?? What kind of intake and cam work with the AFR 210cc's ? anybody know.

chris, i like how your old irocs just a tiny bit faster than yours new WS6.. makes me proud.

I would go with 200cc with 2.05 intake 1.60 exhaust. Something that will flow 285 to 300cfm. Run a large intake....something like a stealth ram.

Not sure what you mean. I have that camshaft and set my idle according to GM specs which call for 20-30 counts on the IAC counts section. It is set to idle at 750 by the ECM. Oh, I do have 1.6 ratio RR.
