You don't want to remove the KS or the ECM will flash an error code when you start up the car. Also, it helps prevent knock which is something you want.

i know that but where is another place to put the ks. it wont fit with my headders i have the hooker super comp long tubes.

On the opposite side of the block is another water passage. You could try that. Other than that, I would call Lingenfelter Perf Engr and ask them. I know that the Ford T birds have a KS that they screw into the intake manifold but we have ours that go into a water jacket. I don't know if the KS is calibrated to pick up water transmitted Knock signals or if it makes a difference but they might.
