heater core

heater core help

ok i need a new heater core, i already have it accessible but, the plastic cover the core (the one with the clips) is making it hard for me 2 get it in right, do i put in the core first then do the plasic cover? or the other way around?

I know I installed it bolted together. It slide right in, only problem was that the in/out tubes were not bent correctly so I shoved the core pretty hard and finally it seated perfectly and bolted in good. I bent the vac. assisted doors tho so now my controls don't work. Everything blows at the floor.

ok got it back in, now (stupid me) forgot which hose went where. does the hose to the water pump go on the left or right pipe
