My IROC goes to 55-60 before switchin to 2nd, which is way too high i believe, so its as slow start.

When i start it and put it in Drive it gives a big churp like if it was being reved while putting it in Drive. Then when im at a red light it revs too low and it will turn off a couple times a day, i got no idea what this could be, maybe its my shift kit that has ****ed up the transmission iono any help?

I'd say about every 7-8 weeks. Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. Still grossly inexcuable.

I had a 77 Camaro and a 77 Monte Carlo just a few years ago and they were dead on reliable. The 77 Camaro cooked the ignition coil and thats it. THe Monte Carlo--nothing at all. In comparison the 88 Camaro has been towed about 5 times in three years. Trans went, rad and the other stuff was minor but there was lots of it!

Only good thing--it has always broken down in the city--never on the highway,

It's been 100% reliable since the ccarb was put on in place of TPI... Never once stalled, stumbled or died on me. I did replace the alternator a week or so ago but I noticed the voltage guage dropping and I caught it in time so I wans't stranded anywhere That makes it more reliable than my old daily driver cavalier and my current Explorer... hehe guess I'm lucky...

i bought my 85 berlinetta from ebay.ca last summer from an old ladys son who was selling the car. it had beanie babies all over it. 40,000 miles or 70,000 kilometers on the clock. 2500$ canadian.
i replaced a headlight and it passed saftey, i drove it all winter, replaced the rear brakes (do not use the e-brake) then it didnt give me probs until summer. oh and dont drive it if they salt the roads. mine is eaten all up and is getting panels and paint soon.
i think in total i did the brakes, tires (they all blew from not being driven ever) i bumped a pole slippin in the cold and smushed my headlight bar and signal light
after that, the coil was rusted over and failed
and i put in new door locks.

i think thats it. not too bad

it has 103,000 kilometers on it now. its my daily driver
lincoln town car for this winter
