For now I will wait a few weeks for someone to have a redesigned upper plenum. Maybe later I will get a Hogan Sheet Metal intake.

No one has the HSR in mind yet so any "off the shelf" unit is pure junk even if they tell you it will help. I brought my car to HiTech Motorsport in MN to get it tuned up right on the dyno. You can call www.fasterproms.com and they will send you one cut to your specs. You can send them readouts from your runs and they will custom it so that it is nuts on.

You can run it with your stock prom, but it will crank a little longer before it starts if the engine hasn't been run for awhile.

Re: HSR and 85-89 L98

i didn't put it on there as an expense because you can't pin down the exact cost. and not a have to just to swap intakes only. i did my own prom burning. cost me about $200. but if you can't do prom burning, you'll have to rely on someone else. and no you do not have to have a prom burned to get it to run. as i said in your post over at stealthram.com, when i did my 383, i ran the stock 1987 prom until i got it to a dyno. it's a little harder to start in the morning because of no 9th injector on the HSR and using the 87 bin that still had the 9th injector programming. i drove on the stock 1987 bin for a month. and when i did finally dyno tune it, i only had to add 5% more fuel to the entire curve. then added fuel in the 4000-up after that.

If you're refering to the Commander 950 system, it's a speed density setup. I don't quite understand the rest of your question though.

You could reuse your stock system if it is a V8 TPI system. I did until someone totaled my car.
