Hypertech Cool fan switches??
#2
They are really good, I love mine! I have one on my 91 305 RS and wouldn't give it up for anything. Mine was on the passenger side of the engine right beside the last two spark plugs. Becareful tho, lots or radiator fluid is behind it.

I've got a JET from summit. It comes on at 200 and off at 185. It works great! My dipstick tube was in the way so I couldn't use a socket on it. So the wrench took a little longer, but still no big deal.
But like 96 TA said, be prepared for a fair amount of coolant to come rushing out when you remove the stocker.

Not hard at all. Unscrew the old switch from the cylinder head, screw in the new one and hook the stock wiring back up.
In a stock configuration this particular switch is the "last line of defense" against overheating- it kicks the fans on around 235-240* in case the ECM's electronic control over the fans fails for some reason. All these cool switches do is turn that system upside-down and make this switch the FIRST thing to turn the fans on- at a lower temp (usually around 190-200) than the ECM would normally kick them in (228).
