well you will only notice the gains on a dyno or at the track. But every little counts

Well you read the Pro & Con about the Pulleys, and now you know why they suck.

A useless mod that results in more problems then there worth.
Now just wait for all the Pro & Con on this subject and then you make a decision.

well the only real downside as i see is the charging issues. Two easy solutions 1) buy a 140 amp alt. or 2) get the march pulleys set with the overdrive alternator pulley.

Remember people this mod wont make horsepower all it will do is free up a little bit that is allready there. The more power your engine makes the bigger hp gain you will get out of it. And like was said i personally wouldnt expect much difference at high speed it would have more of an effect on spool up time for your engine.

freeing up hp means you get more hp in return correct

yeah but okay if you put a new intake on your camaro your going to feel that punch of more air coming into your intake and generally anything to do with air flow ie heads intake exhaust you would tend to feel more. Pulleys theoretically could be felt in spool up time for your engine (although how much im not sure i dont have them) but i would be surprised if you felt a big difference even though it should pull a little bit better. I could be totally talking out of my *** here but that just seems to be a logical explenation.

Underdrive pulleys

Underdrive pulleys do not "make" horsepower they just free some up. They do work as I have tested them on the dyno. Here is some help, measure your crank pulley and your alternator pulley. To charge at idle they need to be a 3 to 1 ratio. For those of us who spin the motor hard, keep this also in mind. The alternator will be spinning 3 times as fast as the crank. Do not exceed 20000 rpm on an alternator or after a short time you will start to explode the stator by centrifical force. March makes nice pulleys and they have done the work for you. They offer a power and amp series that works. They charge at idle and still give you about 11 to 12 hp. have fun
