I know that several outfits are making fiberglass hoods, fenders etc., but most of it is intended for race/show use and doesnt handle daily use well.
I am thinking of making hoods, fenders, one peice front clips, dashes, headliners. and even doors(as long as you have door bars in your cage) My stuff would be more expensive, but would endure daily driving and shopping cart wars without a hitch. what do y'all think?

dashes and crap would be great i dont find theres too much of that out there. Dont know how i would feel about buying a hood from someone who was just starting it and had no real reputation for it. Would also depend on how strongly you stood behind what you made.

Im very interested in a 3rd gen hood if you build one that looks good and the price is right. I want one with somehting other than the regular outlaw cowl. Maybe one with an l88 scoop
And many hoods are made that stand up to daily driving.

The L-88 is alrady on the market. I'm planning on getting creative(wierd), like a Mopar style bigmouth or something, but this is still in the what if stage. Although, with the response I've gotten from here, as well as some other bulletin boards, this looks like a can't lose situation.

To Clarify a couple points, The big mouth hood scoop I'm talking about, is not the cheap looking hemi scoop, but a very tasteful, well-blended peice. what I am thinking, is that, on a 3rd gen, if angled right, from the front, you would see the air cleaner in such a way as to look like a high rise intake. it would seal to the air cleaner base plate. I would include the needed parts to make it a truely functional coldair-ram air scoop.
As to the quality question, I stand behind my work 100%!!! I wont send it out the door unless it's absolutely perfect. If they just dont like it, or they change their minds, they would lose the shipping, and a restocking fee.
At this point, a Pin Down version will run $450-$550, before I can figure on a Hinge/Latch version, I'm going to have to design aluminum reenforcing plates, as well as a source for reduced strength hood struts. I wont build it unless it will last for years without cracking. anyone that's ever had a glass hood understands what I mean.
