Even with the 5.0 305 it's still an IROC.

the Z28 was droped to iroc and were made only from 1982-1990. The 91 and 92 were changed to Z28

Z28: 82-87 and 91-92
IROC-Z28: 85-90

The 305 TBI was the base IROC engine but wasn't all that common as most were 305 TPI's. If it's an IROC for real and an 85-87 it'll have RPO B4Z, if it's and 88-90 it'll have RPO Z28.

The irocs had better suspension, wonder bar and could be had with TPI over the coupe in 1988

Advice: Look under the lid of your center console and copy down the 3-digit RPO codes. Then go to www.thirdgen.org and run every RPO on the list through their RPO decoder. That'll tell you EXACTLY what you have.

Then get subframe connectors.

you may want to start modding that badboy. Although it's an IROC, it doesn't stand a chance in stock form against other IROC's equipped with TPI engines.
