Labor costs?
what would you guys say the average cost for a transmision, drive shaft, and rear axle swap?
I was quoted $500 for my engine swap which isn't too bad I'm told.
car is a 91 z28 5.0 auto

If you go to a shop, it is labor rate of the shop multiplied by flat rate which is determined by what is published. If you pay cash to a mechanic, it might be under $200 all in for the tranny and rear axel.
If you are using Richmond Gears, it might be around $400 because you can never get it done the first time unless you are lucky. Mine was R&Red 4 times by the shop because they wanted to get the wear pattern just right. That ensured that they whine was kept to a minimum. GM gears would have been easier, so the story goes, but 3 times as expensive.
