Last minute checklist for LT1 install!!
Here's a list of what I have. Let me know if you can think of anything else.
- LT1
- T56
- T56 Crossmember
- 4th gen Pedals
- Pure Choice Fuel lines and LT1 adapters
- New Opti-spark
- Hooker Long Tubes (just for fun)
- Bullet mufflers (again just for fun)
And here's things Im sure I need, but not sure on just what or where to get it:
- All clutch workings besides pedals(clutch master, slave, etc.)
- Motor mounts (if you have done the swap please fill me in on whatever I need in this area)
It's late, or early, but I cant think of much more though I know Im forgetting several things. Now, I know something will have to be done about the Guages, but I'll worry about that at later time and date. Thank you for helping.

Re: Last minute checklist for LT1 install!!
Use thirdgen motor mounts, may have to modifiy one of them if you keep the A/C. Recommend swapping the gauges with a 91-92 V8 camaro because they have an electronic speedo. For much more info check out the LTX/LSX engine swap section at thirdgen.org. What size of hooker headers are you using? 5/8 primaries are the ones to have. I had problems with my thirdgen hooker shorties. The side that bolts up to the heads wasn't flat, i had to grind/sand it down around the ports on the headers to make them bolt up flat against the heads to stop the leaks.

Re: Last minute checklist for LT1 install!!
I do plan on keeping the A/C and have been reading about the procedure for that. I do have the wiring harness and PCM, sorry I didnt include that. I am using 3/4 Hooker LT headers. I hope to still pass emissions with the LT's due to the cleaner burning LT1. I dont know, we'll see. Thank you for the input. Any time saving tips are much appreciated.

20 oz ballpin hammer to the k-member or frame, that will let you get the a/c in. Or you can waste your money on a $250 a/c relocation bracket like me (dont do that).
