leak...?

There some massive leak action going on inside the GTA. It rained extremely hard for the past several days... and there is a puddle in the passenger floor board. The windows don't leak and nothing is wet other than the carpet that I can tell.

Cowl panel? firewall? are there any areas prone to leaking?

The door is dry and the dash is dry.. and I havent driven the car... so I dont think its the wheel wells unless rain can fall up inside them

Anyone had similar prollems?

-Bud

...its happened twice before when it has rained hard.

Water on the passenger front floor board can mean the heater core threw in the towel.

When I used to work in a body shop we did it like this. Flip upside down, with your head in the footwell, close the door and have a friend water down the car with a hose, then use a flashlight to look for the water coming in. First I would smell it though, any antifreeze odor is a dead giveaway to a shot heater core like someone else already posted.

Well.. Im in for the night so I cant go sniff it again... but it did not smell like anti-freeze in teh car when I saw it this time and the others. It only happens when it rains pretty hard. Im going to try the hose thing tomorrow I guess.

Thanks

No problem it's why I'm here, to spread around some of my "useless knowledge"
