Post LS1 transplant

While picking up a door from a local salvage yard i ran across a COMPLETE LS1 motor for only 3K. It includes the six speed tranny brain box wiring harnesses everything. My question is how hard would it be to put that motor into my 1990 that has an automatic. any and all input would be very much appreciated. thanks

Thumbs up

this has been beat to death much like 4th gen seats...........do a search and you'll find your answers easier.

it isn't that it's hard to fit, infact it's easy to fit; it's the custom motor mounts as well as a few other trick signature parts that will need to come together......as well as trying to match everything up and get it to run right.

many have tried, few have got it to work well....very rarely do you see one that runs perfect although it can be done. i'd say at least set aside another 3,000 if not more for added expenses as well as alot of time and your good to go. don't be surprised once you fit it in the compartment on how small it looks......almost like a 4 cylinder, but if you pull it off it should be nice.

good luck!!
