So far from what I can tell the full exhaust helped me out the most. I choose Edlebrock TES, Dyno Max Hi Flo Cat, and Flowmaster Exhaust. Nice ignition parts help out as well. Do a home made cold air set up.

port out the upper plenum. get rid of the "humps" just behind the tb, and open up the passages going to the runners. andres shultz (sp??) picked up a couple tenths and a few mph when he did this on his camaro (only place i know of that actually made back to back runs).
you can also bump your timing from stock 6* to 10 or so, run only premium octane gas and you'll pick up some power.
either do the ram air mentioned above or at least cut out the baffles on the air box (below the filters)
pullies to slow down your accesories and gain a few ponies
have your throttle body ported (look them up on ebay or contact NOMAD on this board)
and don't forget about the lower thermostat and the throttle body bypass.
you can also relocate your IAT sensor closer to the air box (remove it from the plenum) to get a more accurate temp reading of the incoming air.

if you want to mess with the chip, either have one programmed specifically for your car or else look into TPIS. they have a program which outlines specific mods, set up in levels, and a chip designed for each level.
and as you add more mods, in essence going to the next level, you can send you chip in to be "upgraded" for a lower cost.
i think the levels start with
1: basically stock, except lower stat, and low restriction exhaust
2: intake work and headers
3: cam, heads etc
4: big cam, stroker etc...
or something like that

Serious, 305s seem to love nitrous for some reason. Autoroc picked up 2 seconds, and two dudes (ZRATED and Camaroracer1992) picked up 2 seconds when they ran 100/125 shots, they were all running stock heads, although Zrated had an LT1 cam and he was in the 12s.

Yea all were running stock bottom ends. Zrated and Camaroracer1992 were both TBI, Autoroc is carbed, although I want to say I remember him having success with nitrous on his tpi setup. If I can find the timeslips Ill post them here, but I only remember the 1/4th times.
