Yup, sounds like a tranny mount to me. I would vote for a "thumping" sound myself though. I experienced this since I bought the car, purchased her with a busted mount. No biggie until about a year later once I started driving alot more and getting a little more aggressive, that i heard this loud thud that sounded like the tranny was gonna come through the floor board. I knew what it was right away. Swapped it out in an hour(took my time) and no more problems. I used a rubber mount, but if you have a lil more cash to spend, I would say go with a poly mount, save some time later on down the road. I would have, but I didn't know as much then. That should take care of it, as well as keep your drivetrain alive longer, those kinds of bonks cant be good for tranny or driveshaft or rearend....... Hope thiswas of some help to ya!

It is fixed. Cost me $80 at the mechanic. I am quite happy. I am getting all of my damage fixed (repair front adn rear bumper, new fender, touch up quarter panel, paint all pieces and paint my popup headlight cover) for $500 too. And new rear shocks installed is $125. Am I getting a good deal?
