Need some testimonials about mufflers...
Ok, I am sure this subject has come up before but I still have not found definitive answers to my questions. Here is the deal. I have an 87 GTA (the one listed in my sig) with headers, 3" cat, 3" cat-back, and it currently has a Flo-Pro single in, dual-out muffler. The problem is this car has a horrible highway drone that resonates throughout the car and can become very annoying. Before I tried out this cheap Flo-Pro, I had a Flowmaster direct-fit F-body muffler (single in, dual-out) on the car and it was just as loud but had a better exhaust note. Well, this junk muffler has to go, and I want something quieter but I don't want to loose any more power. Another key point is whatever muffler I replace it with must have dual-outs like the stocker so I can retain my dual tips.
I know the DynoMax Super Turbo is quieter, but I have also tried this one out and I did notice a power loss over the flowmaster. So my question is, what brand muffler (under $100) meets all my requirements and is quieter than the Flowmaster?
Aerochamber?
Magnaflow?
Edelbrock?
Any others?
Remember, I don't care about exterior noise, just the interior "drone" at highway speeds.

Aerochamber, or Magnaflow. Both of them seem to be even louder at WOT than the flow masters, but have a quieter idle. So less drone when cruising, but you can still get your bird to sing when you want to.

Are you talking about the bullet style race mufflers that Dynomax sells? I was thinking about doing that but I didn't know how significant the noise reduction would be.

I have the force II flowmaster muffler as opposed to the american thunder muffler. The force II muffler is very tame, its sounds real good at idle and low rpm's, but it real quiet at cruising speeds. Its not near as load as my dads ls1 with the american thunder.
