new to the Camaro world

i am geting an 88 z28/i-roc

it is totally stock
what are the first cheap things to look for to replace and gain power
who has the best stroker kits i am looking to have a 383
what heads are the best and handle better than .500 lift
also how much power could my stock auto hold
how much power can the rar end hold
my hopes are to be around 550hp 600f/lb
how can i achieve this.

welcome.

You need to do some research first. While that hp/tq is achievable, It is going to be very expensive.

Not only do you have to build a motor, you have to upgrade cooling, buy a larger rearend, replace suspension components, and buy a built transmission.

You are looking at atleast $10k.

Yeah,I agree,I'm at that stage where I just bought a 86 IROC in 2010,its got a 305 V8,I want a 383 in there.I'm not looking for 500hp,just something with more power than my 305.If you have $10,000 to spend,just buy a Camaro that's built.Otherwise you're gonna wait a LONG time before that car has 500hp in it.If you rush,and put something powerful,you're gonna blow something up,my friend put nitrous in a stock mustang and blew his engine up.Be smart and have patience!
