Exclamation New car is a piece, NEED HELP!

I just bought an 85 Iroc about 2 weeks ago, and I have for the most part run out of money to repair it, since thats all I have been doing. I brought it in to a mechanic today and he said the water pump and radiator are no good...on top of that it is running on 7 cylinders, it is a mess. I'm not much of a mechanic, I would like to think so, but I'm not. I'm sure I can put in a new radiator by myself, but I need to know if the water pump is tough to replace. I have to save some money. If anyone knows how to do it or knows of a good repair manual or a way that I can do most of the work let me know please, I want to get this thing running.

Naw, the water pump shouldn't be hard to change at all. I've got an '89 Formula and it's pretty simple really. If you've got the money, I suggest buying a manual for your car...Haynes is decent, and it's less than $20. If you want, e-mail me at bigdave8301@yahoo.com and I'll write you back with some directions.

Bro the water pump is easy to replace especially if you have and electric fan its slightly tougher if you have a fan that bolts to the pump becasue you have to put the fan clutch and all back on, but in general if you can replace the radiator yourself you shouldnt have much of a problem with the water pump. ALso I went through the same thing when i got my 86 roc, If you ask me you better off just being patient saving a little bit of money and rebuilding the damn thing. If you dont I can almost assure you as soon as you manage to get one thing under control youll find another problem.
