hi. i just got done building a 355. i put everything new except the cam and crank. hooked it up to see if i could get it to turn over good. and it was fine. then tried to atleast get it to fire and im not getting a single ounce of spark. i made sure timeing was on by close to 100%. took my distrib to a place had it tested and had to exchange for a different one because the module was defective. got a whole new distrib and still nothing. any idea what might be causing this?

right now they way i have it wired is all direct to batter just to make sure it works. my wires for my starter are fine. then i have the 1 positive from going to the distrib. and i have the distrib grounded out. plus my block is grounded out.

General ignition troubleshooting should be posted in a gen spacific forum. I do not know what year or model car you have (please make a sig) so i will move this to 3rd gen where you have a few posts.

sorry about that wasnt sure exactly which one to use.
anyhow i have a 1985 camaro. not RS not Z28. and i dropped a 75 350 into it. not sure why i cant get it to fire.
