you buy what HP you want, a 50 shot gives "around" 50HP, a 100 shot gives about 100HP. if your engine is custom build for nitrous you could get 200HP from a 100 shot....

it's pretty cheap, not sure how much a kit for an SFI fbody costs, but a carb spraybar system is pretty cheap, like 400-500$ for an extra 100HP, drop a full second for 400$ and not worry about expensive engine work...not too shabby

Nitrous can add anywhere from 25 to like a thousand horsepower depending on what you get. What kind of motor do you have? if its stock i dont know how much you should really put in there but i have never used nitrous so im not sure. as far as speed..say you have a 14 sec car well a 150 shot will get you a lot faster than if you start off with an 11 sec car. and money..its pretty cheap but some systems get around $1000.

i have a brand new 350 crate engine right now. i am also getting headers, and flowmaster exaust. some people say you have to replave yor piston rings and stuff like that when you decide to run nitrous, i dont kno though.

It's not a good idea to run more than about 100-125 shot unless you have forged pistons and good rings and such things as that. There are guys out there running 200 shots on stock bottom ends but I personally don't like the idea of waving goodbye to my pistons as they exit the hood.

yea, you can do a 75shot all night long, and you'll get a half second easy....if your spraying a stock motor then the more nitrous you put through it, the more is being wasted, a good investment would be a 100shot, enlarge your exhaust valves so your not losing power in the cc, and get a cam that suits nitrous, if you do exhaust valves and cam, you might be able to get 175HP out of a 100shot.

Ok

I reccomend a 75 or 100 shot from a kit of your choice. I reccomend a Nitrous Express kit (called a wet kit). Run STOCK timing of 6 degrees. Along with the kit, you will want a fuel pressure safety switch, a throttle switch, a bottle heater, and a remote bottle opener if you are lazy and or hate having to open your hatch to open the bottle valve. A pressure guage also if the kit doesn't come with it.

No, you will not get 175 hp from a jetting rated at 100 HP. Not even if you do a "custom" nitrous cam and bigger exhaust valves. A set of headers and a good exhaust WILL definately help out but it's not something that is absolutely needed. Make sure you run premium fuel all the time. Also make sure you don't hit the factory revlimiter or fuel cut-off. From how my NX kit is performing, a 100 shot will definately get you roughly 100 more HP at the wheels and easily 200 more lb-ft in the lowerend of the powerband(This torque is what will make you smile and it's what will lower your 1/4 mile times.)

If you're actually serious about this, get a set of GOOD, STICKY rear tires....Otherwise, the added power will probably be wasted in the form of tire smoke With a 150 shot on my little 305, my 315/35/17 Nitto Drag radials are USELESS in first gear. All I get is a severe tire spinning and if have to hit second gear immediately or else the engine will bounce off the fuel cut-off which seems to be around 5600 rpm...

Do a search in the Nitrous Oxide forum and goodluck.
