Hey Kandied91Z, thanks alot for backing me up. I didn't wanna get into some whos right and whos stupid on this board, but I deliver parts to body shops every day. I too see the work being done, and I they have all offered me a grand off what they normally charge. My paint job as of now looks great at a distance, but I am perfecionist, and its chipping all over. So I am in the market for a 3K paint job. It will be a daily driver as well, but I still want it to look as good as it can. I would rather spend a little more now and do it right, than some mircale paint job and have it redone next year. Hope you guys all get what you pay for. I have shopped around and believe me when I say that for what I want, thats the best price around.

Avoid the $200 "ambassador" jobs at all cost! I did that to my old probe, and it chipped and peeled away within 8 months Worst of all, the new color didn't match the old and my doorjams, engine bay and trunk looked hideous

I agree 100%. Out here, the outfit that could proly best resemble the "ambassador" is "Miracle." I have a funny feeling that thats where the previous owner took the Z to get painted. Its horrible. Looks great from about 10+ feet away, but all the mouldings/weather stripping has tons of overspray. The paint also does not match the jambs/engine bay. They repainted the front spoiler and did a horrible match. Its noticeably different. I dunno what else. But the paint is peeling everywhere. More comes off with each wash. Anyway, thats why I want a new paint job. I am also going to add a bra, even though it looks hideous, I don't want rock chips. My friend made that mistake and a 5K job had to go back after 2 weeks because the nose on his black RS was just crap from all the rocks.

Thanks for all of the replies. I realized after I got a few estimates that I was going to have to spend atleast 2500 to 3000 for a decent job. I guess I'll be waiting a few more months to save up for the job.
