i just bought an 87 iroc z28 with a 91 350 and i was wondering what 3.73 gears means and if higher gears (example 4.10) or lower gears (example 3.73)are better to have(i have a manual transmition)

Well 373's are best of both worlds,good exceleration and highway friendly.410's offer alittle better off the line pull, but slightly higher rpm's on th highway.Either way both would be perfect for your car.I would lean towards the 410's with your 5spd,373's with an auto.

better is only what you want out of the car. if its only a toy, put 4.10's in there and have some fun.

i'm using 3.50's and they seem to be a good mix for city and highway use.

(if you do a lot of highway driving i don't recommend anything above 3.73's, especially in states like colorado where the speed limit is 75)
