Quick ? for you Tremec owners
I'm going to transplant a tremec 3550 from fortes into my 86 Camaro...
Can I use the same T-5 Bellhousing? From all the pics I have seen it looks like the tremec sits perfectly horizontal in 3rd gens.
So if can use the same bellhousing (due to lack of cash flow) all that needs to be changed is the driveshaft yoke and the x-member relocated?
ohh yea one more ??? I'm a little confused on how the shifter mounts up... the shifter that comes with it appears to need to sit flat. Does the tranny have a little bit of twist in the case to counter act the slope in the bellhousing?
thanks in advance
