just curious if i get a new radiator with an extra core would it help keep my engine cooler?
the reason i ask is my engine runs around like 220 all the time and id like to have it running a little cooler
does anyone else's car run this hot?
TIA

Make sure your airdam is still in place (black plastic piece across the bottom right under the radiator). It can have major effects on engine cooling at speed.
As for an extra core: it will help cool the engine, but if you have A/C it probably won't fit in with the condensor. It'll be thicker than your original radiator. If your car is automatic then one option would be to get a radiator with no tranny cooler (more volume to cool the engine) and get a seperate cooler for the tranny fluid. I don't know how much that would help though.

How about just havng your radiator cleaned and flow tested. What year is your car. Does it have an aluminum radiator. Have you priced what a 3 core radiaitor cost. Its not worth it. get yours cleaned, put in a 160 thermostat, and make sure your fans are working correctly. also add one of those coolant fan switches from hypertech. Thats what i have and my temp never goes over 200.
