Sorry, kinda chiming in late here, I know. But running a higher pressure won't dump fuel into the engine, the O2 sensor would sense a rich condition and set the pulse width accordingly. Higher pressure helps with the atomization though. As long as you stay under 55 psi the computer shouldn't have a problem keeping the F/A ratio in check. Some master engine builders are known to purposely install small injectors so they can run higher pressures without adding a rich condition.

Mass Air is more forgiving and it will compensate better. I could probably get away with running a Superram intake system on a MA system without too much problem but SD is more picky. MA, I believe, can compensate for up to 10% and SD is less.

50 yes but I am not sure about 55 in SD cars.

Yes, if you run smaller injectors you can get away with higher pressures for atomization but if you run bigger injectors like he is going to do and still cranks up the pressure, I am not sure at that point what will happen as to whether the ECM can compensate or not.

aklim: you think 48 psi would be ok for me with my stock injectors, with all the mods on my sig and 10:5:1 compression?

Should be fine. Your ECM can certainly compensate for that.
