my buddy has them on his supra
there is a kit u can buy and it comes with solinoids
that go in the door then you have a car alarm like controller
and each button contols each door.
the supra is his daily driver and it works pretty slick
he left the trunk key hole there just in case something happens(dead battery, etc.)

I've even seen sensors that you can put on the back side of a body panel. You program the sensor for taps or beats and when you tap the outside of the panel to the programmed code a door will open kinda like tapping the front drive fender four times unlock the driver door and five unlocks all.. I can't find the link now but they have alot of different ways to get in.. I've seen hangers, buttons under the car door, buttons under the hood, remotes.. I am shaving everything off my car, handles, antenna, moldings.. anything I can just about..

i've seen people do that, but what happens if the battery dies, or a short caused from rain fall, or etc.?
I'm not crazy about the 3rdgen handles, so i'm opting for 92 grand am handles. they'll sit flush against the door and have access where or not the battery takes a bath!

anyone have a pic of the door handles with s10 or grand am handles?

Battery wouldnt be a big deal. like stevem said leave the trunk key hole it sits behind the license plate anyway so even with a dead battery just crawl in. i think the solenoids would be your best bet.
