Spark Plug decision

What spark plugs to use with my engine combo.

L31 vortec 350
stock iron vortec heads
TPI vortec basplate
ZZ-4 cam

What part number is what i am lookin for..

maybe a ac delco or autolite plug.. not platinum is what was so far suggested.

I'd personaly go w/ the Bosche Platinum 4's.. my dad uses them in his Interceptor 'Vicky (these are NOT OEM on this vehicle, though.) and he says there was noticeable differance.. in a good way.
I plan on using them on my Z-28, as well.

Plats just last longer and the "special" designed electrode plugs are just gimicks.

Best bet would be to go to a local auto parts store and have them look it up for a TPI engine. The mods you listed have no bearing on what plugs you should run. If you're still running the stock ignition system, get what is recommended for it.

i heard those platinium plus 4,s from bosch where designed for imports i used to work at advance auto parts and the plug i seen go out the most was NGK but personally ive been using AC rapidfires and have no complaints.

yeah i think the basic point is the delco's will work as well as anything else. Out of curiosity what things do effect what sort of plug you should run?

How is the "special" electrodes not "special"? More of a spark=more c0mplete combustion.. correct?
Plat 4's for Imports? Never knew that..
NGK's.. KNEW THAT! Lol.. hate those damned things.. (DAMNED JAPS!) but.. UNFORTUNATLY... that is what must be used on my sled.. NGK R's.. BR9ES's..
I have heard AC is good.. but what about SplitFires? ARe they good, or what?
I dont believe much 'anything' affects what plugs should be used.. but I do know that there is diff. resistance wires.. (and on Sled's.. diff. resis. Plugs..)

I would start with regular NGK plugs and see how far it goes. After 1000 miles, look at the plugs and decide if you need to go colder or warmer.

Some of you guys might need to take a few classes at your nearest business college.
Many of products you buy/own/use/whatever are foreign designed, but possibly put together here in the states (and the other way around).
Whether you like it or not, this is a world economy now (or very close to it anyhow). That *** product that you decide you want to boycott just might take away a few american jobs here at home.

Called SDPC up and asked them what plugs they would use in their 350 vortec crates.. they said AC delco r44lts. 44 is a little colder plug than the 45.

Tried the delcos and the bosch but didn't like them. Same heat range and they all fouled up too easily.
