i think that means you have 26 splines iirc
i thought the 28 splines was 88-02 (someone chime in if you know for sure)
and check your rpo's
look for:
gu6
gu5
gu4
i think if you have gu4, that would be 2:73's meaning you got a 2 series carrier

jeez, been a long time since i've seen this info, i'm still trying to remember all of it

ok, checked some info, turns out 88-02 had 28 splines (althought i do believe somewhere i read that some 88's had 28)
o well, in either case, you got 26 splines
also, gu4 is NOT 2.73's, it's 3.08's
not sure what the ratio was for the 273's
