sub frame connectors
What subframe connectors fit without any modifications to exhaust? Do they really stop a lot of rattlin in the car?
Also do you guys know of amy shocks that are comfortable or are all the shocks for our cars made stiff?

Its more a combination of the suspension and the shocks/struts, that gives 3rd gens a rough"ER" ride. If you want a softer ride, you might be sacrificing some of that awesome 3rd gen handling.... Personally, I like to feel the road...... If I wanted a soft ride I would get a different car.

I'd check out Spohn subframes or South Side Machine(SSM)...I have the SSM's and I've had them welded on 2 different IROC-Zs..Both installs went perfectly. On the T-Top car I definately noticed a lack of T top rattle and on my newer convertible, the car is solid....I ended up doing an 8 point rollbar and suspension work too though...hmmm...Goodluck!
Not all shocks are rough FYI. Edelbrock makes a new shock for most vehicles including our F-Bodies..I forgot the name but you'll figure it out. I hate the name Edelbrock, but I am starting to trust their products pretty much. Bilstein might make a replacement shock that isn't too harsh but don't quote me on that one...Edelbrock! Edelbrock! let us know how they work! I'm seriously curious!

I have Alston SFC's also. It is one of the few brands that is not perimiter mounted, so it will work on a convertible. Sorry to burst anyones bubble, but Edelbrock IAS shocks and struts are not made for our ThirdGen F-Bodies. Look carefully at their application chart and you'll see they have them for the 1st, 2nd & 4th Gen's (all shocks). But none for our cars that use a modified MacPherson strut (aka Chapman strut). I've had Edelbrock IAS shocks on my '98 Dodge truck since th first week I owned it. I contacted Edelbrock to see when they would offer them for our 1982-92 F-Bodies. Their reply was never. I "settled" for Bilstein.

Their $368.00 for a set of four, but you can get KYB AGX Gas Adjust 5 way adjustable shocks for you 3rd gen.. Those I hear have a great ride, when in the right selector, given you can't pull up to a light and burn someone, but you can smooth your way to the track and really buckle someone there and smooth on out of there..
You guys can get them from www.P-S-T.com
