Actually, you might be able to find a nice low milage rebuilt 350 to slap in there. That is something a lot of 305 people do.

what year/vehicle should i be looking for?Right now i would do a vette motor swap but i dont have the right funds for the swap.Money is a main concern but when isnt it?

87+ 4 bolt 350 roller motor. Either from a Vette or a truck.
f-body's have the 2 bolts, which aren't bad but not as strong as a 4bolt.

tpi or tbi?If TPI how hard is it to convert TBI to TPI?Sorry to ask the lil stoopid questions

I'd go with Cloyes.

Changing to TPI would require a new harness and a complete change of many sensors and adding new ones, injectors, etc. You'd be better off buying a setup from Accel that has DFI and you can have all the intakes and gaskets and sensors and the ability to tune your engine as you please. It is a self contained

Doesn't matter what the engine had, you just want the long block and put your TBI on it.

would an engine from a 72 el camino work?Just slap on the heads and tbi?

I believe the 350 is a non interference motor. If the chain goes, you die out on the road is all. Maybe a new cover for the chain but that should be that.
