Tires
I have a debate going. How do you read tire sizes? I thought it was 245/50R16---245 being the width of the tire and 50 being the hieght(from rim to tread) isn't that also the profile? And obviosly R16 being rim size.

245 would be width, 50 would be the aspect ratio of the height to the width (a 295/35 tire has a wide tread, so the ratio of height to tread is less, thus 35, i think at least), and 16 being the wheel size.

245/50/16
Section Width = 245mm
Aspect ratio = 50%
Wheel height = 16"
To take width to inches, divide by 25.4.
So a 245mm tire is 9.64" wide [not tread width though].
To get the height of a sidewall, multiply the width [9.64"] by the aspect ratio [50%] = 4.82"
Now, to get total tire height, multiply the sidewall height [4.82"] by 2, and add the wheel height [16"] = (2 x 4.82") + 16" = 25.64" total height.
Hope that helps you to grasp the concept of how wheel heights are put together. In time you can get it pretty close by mental math.
