Go outside and measure the height of your tires now. They should be around 25" to 26" tall. Take that and then find a tire that is the same height and width for the wheels you have. I hear good things about the Nitto drags.

Race only: M/T ET Drags/Streets
Hot Street : BFG Drag Radials
Either way, "at the strip" only run between "12 and 16psi" for maximum grip, or so that's what I've found works best for me, and my friends agree for them too.
Don't run that low on the street ofcourse a blow out is no fun.
And don't try to use them down to the chords, a buddy of mine tried and had a blow-out at the traps at over a buck-twenty and nearly lost it, not to mention nearly soiling himself!....
The BFG's will require more heating up than the M/T's, w/o water if possible. I've found a healthy burn is the key to getting them to stick! And they do stick like glue, if they're ready. Mine stuck so hard once I broke a seat brkt and had to hold the door handle with one hand to counter the g-force to the half track mark.
The best all around street tire I've used on our cars is GoodYear's GSC, it's about a half an inch wider than most and looks even wider than that, sticks better in the rain, and is decent at the track with a good burn, and more stable at speed.(245/50/16)
And SLP sells NEW take-offs for $399/set!!!
