Tons of Questions bout 84

I have an 84 camaro that i believe was originally a sports coupe, it now has a 383 stroker in it and I am trying to make it look like a z28 the best I can. When i purchased the car i noticed the the middle section of ground effects were missing but the rear and front had the pieces already on. It looks to me the person before me changed the whole front/rear to get the effects to be put on but didn't feel like finishing the job for the center. I bought a set and they look to fit but I would have to drill out holes, also i am missing the pieces that connect to the bottom of the doors. Does anyone know if there is any easy way I can put the middle effects on and or what else i need?

I recommend trying thirdgenranch.org. They have quite a few parts like what you are looking for, and have good prices. You are missing the door trim? They might have it. Don't be afraid to drill if you have to. Just look before you leap. Also I think the interior speedo, and tach on a z28 and inlays were white, and sc were yellow. Let me know what you discover.

Gages are black background with white numerals on the Z28 in 84.

Then I believe this would apply to all Z's 82-92. My 86 IROC has white, my 92 RS has yellow numerals, w/yellow inlays. This seems to be a little known detail.

Maybe GM was trying to prevent cloning by doing this.

Yeah, I think the early 90's 3rd gen had yellow print as well as the 93 4th gen.

If you're not a member already, you may want to go over to Thirdgen.org. Pretty much anything you'd want to know you can find out there.

Yes I am a TGO member. I didn't find info on 90-92 third gens if the third gen Z28 had white numerals and inlays.
