Tripometer Stopped Working

Pushed the tripometer button last week and it reset like normal. Then after driving 10 miles, I noticed the tripometer only went to .5 and stopped. Anyone know how to fix this? Every time I push to reset, it goes back to 0 then stops when it gets to .5.

Welcome to the club, you now belong to about 80% of 3rd Gen owner's with a non-working tripometer. Sorry no fix for this condition.

take the guages out of a wrecker car and see if you can swap the numbers. if they are in the same unit as the odo and if they arent -this may be a little taboo but it worked for me when i was going to switch my towncars ghetto looking guages for newer style i got a wratcheting screwdriver and a short flathead bit and flipped the numbers ahead to 385,000 kilometers to match the actual kms on my car. the only thing that stopped me from the swap is the prnDd1 cable would be a pita. but camaros have that on the floor

if the trip is a seperate unit then you could just swap that.
