I have ceramic coated tes headers ty for the thoughts! My radiator looks brand new and flows fine per the radiator shop????

I"m looking for the combo of two problems which are probably the same.........

LACK OF POWER
OVERHEATING IN STOP N GO TRAFFIC

Well, if you're overheating, you're probably detenating even if not heard; then the ECM is pulling timing out and resulting in big lacks in power....one theory...form personal experience.

overheating causes loss of power. trust me... my temp is around 160, and then one of the caps on my air tubes came off and the temp went to 220 and i noticed a lot of power was missing. not too cool if you ask me. ur radiator may look fine, but i would seriously think about getting one of those aluminum radiators that'll keep a big block cooler than a peguins nuts in the artic circle, lol.

btw, check to see if you have air seeping through your ac condensor and away from your radiator... could cause not enough air to go through your radiator, thus not cooling it off as fast. here's a link to the mod

I'm only overheating durrign teh summer. And only in stop n go traffic when it's 80 outside. Most of the time, I'm running at 160-180 max. Cooling system has been gone through and is ok.
