Question What would cause my 88 to climb to 2K RPM?

Its an 88 TBI 305cid. Replaced the Temp sending unit, Plugs/wires, o2 sensor, and the TPS. Sometimes it still does it

I thought the computer controlled your idle rpm. Are you throwing any codes?

According to the AutoZOne Code Book it threw a code 15. Low temp sending unit.. I replaced it, $9. Ran like a champ this morning to work but I still feel kinda uneasy. The SES light is still on, I guess if I undo the battery it will clear the code.

If your light is still on that means it's throwing a different code or what you did didn't solve the previous code. Reset the ECM just to make sure, and then see if it throws another code.
