Ram Air really depends on where you put it on the car, it must be in a strong positive pressure area. Meaning a Ram Air hood scoop is worthless if the scoop is in the middle of the hood. All of the air pressure skips right over it. It MUST be at the front lead edge of the car, like the newer TA's or in headlight locations or fog light locations. And if set up right, you can "stack" up air at speed. I'ts not near as good as a blower, but when the engine creates it's low pressure area or vacuum, the air will fill it more readily and completely, plus the air is colder denser air. So it will increase Volumetric Efficiency. And that always makes more power...how much depends on the motor.

The gains they list factor in the having the
other things that would further enhance it which
is why 99% say depending on application.

That is the ram air system I installed. Depending on the weather (temp, humidity) effects how much power I get out of it. I do not think I got a 70hp gain, I just think the car needs to be tuned before I start throwing big bolt ons at it, so that I can get the most out of each mod.

link brings me back here.
Regardless, I'm glad your car has responded
well. I just don't think that your mods are the
sole factor in cutting down your ET's so they
aren't a "how to" on getting 305's moving.
I had a 91 Z28 5speed myself and I wish I still
had it.

By the way, does your name come from
"the best band in the F'in universe"

Yes, the name comes from RATM, and I have that DVD where you got that quote. I think that's Tom Morello's mom, or grandma...lol..it was awesome.
