why do the lowering kits always lower the front more then the rear?

why do the lowering kits always lower the front more then the rear?

i thought you would want more weight on the rear???

Because during power transfer the rear squats, and you need an angle to transfer the weight properly to. Noone really realizes it but lowering the car hurts traction. But I wouldn't trade my cars lowering springs for a little more traction, it looks tooo dang good.

I think it lowers the front more b/c of the "Panhard Rod", and the new springs are usually stronger than the worn, sagging stockers. Same reason that it might not lower it the full advertised amount, the sagging stockers have already lost some ride height.
