I donīt get why soo many people say that TES-headers suck. I noticed a huge gain of torque when I first installed them in the car late summer last year. After that, I did TPIS LTR. Then I really had traction problems.

The TES-headers is 1 5/8"-->3" collector --> 3" Y-pipe, so itīs not the stock.

Would a 3" catback be enough, or am I forced to go with dual 2 1/2"?

the 3 inch catback will flow better than dual 2 1/2. dont argue it here cuz its been debated many times before.

and as far as the TES headers go, its not the size but rather something in the design. i dont understand why but im just relating what i have read.

Ok! I booked in the car next friday for a custom bent 3" with a Warlock or Terminator muffler. Havenīt desided yet wich to take. Any recommendation of these two? For me, it doesnīt matter if I have one or to exhaust tips nor if the sounds lower (thatīs just good). I just want the flow to be optimal.

Iīll have to wait with the heads for now. Donīt have that money to go with right. Hey, itīs vacation, and my girlfriend isnīt too keen with that I rather put the money in the car instead of a nice trip to a sunny paradise. I just canīt figure out how they think

I run 12.9 with LPE superram, LPE heads, 219/525 cam, TES headers, 2400 stall converter, and 373 gears. The problem is the heads. I ran Dart 2 sportsman heads and was going 1.0 slower before changing to the LPE ported and polished Vette heads. You should sell the heads and get a set of AFR L98 190 or better.
Second you need a set of 373 gears as was stated. With a 373 gear and 3000 stall converter you will launch in the power band instead of having to drive into it. By changing to the AFR 190 heads, 373 gears and 3000 stall converter you would go mid 12.5. Just my .02 from 16 years of wrenching on my 87 IROC.

Ok. Thankīs all for Your help. Too bad I donīt have the money to go with the mods needed. But what would there be to look for if everything was done in one turn

Thereīs one thing left that I canīt figure out (Iīve tried searching, but Iīm not sure what to search for). I keep getting these friggin exhaust detonations. Iīve tried base-timing from 6* to 13* and FP from 41-52. The result is almost the same, more with 6* but the FP really doesnīt matter. Am I really needed to go even higher than 13*? Thatīs god damn huge IMHO.
