yea i would change the cam also if you guys maybe thought that was a problem......but i truely don't know how this is gonna work if i can't fit under my ss hood...cuz there is no way i'm gonna get a new hood...is there an alternative??? maybe a cheap centrifugal charger that somebody knows about???

Have you considered adding a fiberglass cowl to your existing hood?

no i can't be adding anothe cowl on top of my ss scoop...that would pretty much just wreck the looks of the hood...i think i'm gonna look into something else, maybe like a 450 HP crate motor or something..thanks for all the input tho guys...

what about running a Paxton or equivalent S/C?
that would sit on the side of the motor,but instead of being on a fuel injected car,you could buy a "bonet" to go onto the carb to replace the intake tube that would be for fuel injection.
sorry if that doesnt make sense,hopefully you can get the idea.
