Will this "non-performance" gasket set work?

Found this.. very good price, but it says "stock performance". Since I have 300 hp, and 350lb's, do you think it will be sufficient? Thanx all,
Matt

Re: Will this "non-performance" gasket set work?
I've used stock rebuild type gaskets on 300-350 hp engines a bunch of times without any problems. On high compression engines (>10-1), I like to buy high quality head gaskets and use them in place of the regular head gaskets in the kit, but use the rest of the gaskets for oil pan, timing cover, etc. Either way, I always retorque the head gaskets even if they are the "no retorque" type.

what he means is going back after a few heat and cool cycles and checking spec...
the reason why your 85 is not matching up to those gasket is because 80-up they started to with the driver side dipstick for the oil..a small block is a small block pretty much

nah just check it every so often for a month or something. Once you retorque em a few times after the engines been heated up and what not, they will be torqued right to aquire the heat expansion and cool down process.
