Question wiring/ignition problem

Need some help, i have a 87 camaro, used to have 305 in it but now as a 350, i bought it a week ago and now it doesnt start, that problem is that there is pwr. the headlights, and accesseries work and that is about it. i get 12 volts out of them on the fuse panel. the battery is good, it has some servo thing on it for the OEM that i am not familar with it connect to the brake wiring by the pedal and the ign on the fuse box. i was messing around with my fan wire( it has an electric fan) and moving it around when i must of shorted some thing and i got pwr, i turned the key and it fired right up. let it idel for about 10 minutes then when i got ready to move it, by pressing the brake and shifting it into drive it died, and then i couldnt restart it. Any suggestions
thanks

Did the car die when you pressed the brake, or when you shifted in to drive?
