AFR210 and Edelbroch TPI Hiflow base possible?

I'm considering the AFR210 head for my upcoming 381cui with a S-trim. I would like to keep my SR and the Edelbroch Hi-flow baseplate but I fear that the intake ports on the AFR head are to large for the Edelbrock (not sufficient wall thickness and sealing surface). The size of the Edelbrock port is 1.25 X 1.98 and the AFR port is 1.31 x 2.18 so I'll have to grind a bit. Anyone done this combo? What about sealing surface, wall thickness, welding necessary?

I could have measured it by myself but the intake is on my old engine right now (still running..) and I hate to remove it if it's not absolutely necessary.

Thanks
Goran
