piston clearance
I was thinking of swapping out my current pistons in favor of some lower compression slugs so I would have more options on head choice and possibly a blower. The motor is a 383 LT1 w/ forged Weisco pistons BTW.
My question is - can I swap out my .030 over Weisco flat tops in favor of some .030 Weisco dished pistons or will I have a compatability issue (ie do I have to go more than .030 over at this point)? I was told a while back that not every .030 over piston is ***exactly*** .030 over. I would hate to get pistons that were too small or big. Thanks!

you should not have a prob. If you Wisecos and use their piston again let tham know what your doing.
