02 Z28 with 17X11 ZR1's

I know this has been done many times on the board, but I just put a set of 17" polished ZR1 rims on my 2002 Z28. They are 17X11 in the rear, 17X9 front. I really like the Nitto Drag Radials, they hook like crazy. Heading to MIR on Friday night and I can't wait to see my 60 foot! It looks a bit high to me, I like lower cars, but I don't want to mess up my launches with stiffer springs!

Just out of curiosity.... which offset did you get for the 17x11's?

I have the same problem with excessive gap over the rear wheels, but use Eibach Drag Launch springs, that raised the back end about 1/2". Your clearance looks very similar to mine....

17x11 50mm offset, huge wheel gap

I didn't have any clearance issues. Those are factory springs. It is probably the difference in offset: 17" x 9.5" wheels for the front and two 17" x 11" for the rear. They are 5-lug (5x120.65mm). The 17" x 9.5" are a +38mm offset (6.7 inch backspacing) and the 17" x 11" are a +36.5 mm offset (7.397 inch backspacing). The setup was recommended by some successful LS1 racers I know

Great looking car man. How much do those wheels cost? I'm looking for some wheels a little wider then the usual 17x9.5's. What other kind of wheels come in that size?

$800 used, with tires! Brand New on front and like 60% on back. It was a sweet deal. I have seen them on E-bay for close to that. Brand new, a package is over $1500 or so. No idea what other rims you can find in 17X11, but these look good to me!
