I have a 3 1/2" cowl hood (fiberglass). I've taken it off a couple of time to adjust it. It's not that bad. It's alot easier if you have someone help you. (i.e hold the hood while you bolt it to the brackets) I got mine form unlimited product down in southern cal. Payed about 420 for it + 60 bucks for shipping.

Edit: Sorry I don't know where my mind is today. More details. They had a first time fit guarantee. If it didn't fit all you had to do was send it back for a replacement. But it took around 4 weeks to get it. Because they mold it once you order the hood. But it all depends on where your at. I was looking at some other custom hood manufactures in South Carolina. But the shipping would have been like 170 bucks.

Edit 2: and I think UP only make 3 1/2" and 8" cowl hoods.

Hey Battosai,

What was the names of the hood manufactors in South Carolina that you were talking to? I'm in South Carolina, and I'm looking for a cowl hood, and I can go pick one up from these places if you could help out. I'm looking for the best price for a cowl hood, and this sounds like the best way for me to find one.

Thanks,

David Moss
