93-96 dash conversion to 97+ dash

Has anybody tried to swap the older dashboard with the newer one. Obviously, it will fit, but is it a wiring nightmare? Maybe the wires just disconnect with clips? What about the speedo, tach, and odometer? Will I need new cables? I have never tried this and don't know if it is a daylong project or weeklong project. I'd like to hear from someone who has tried this.

Ive done it! its pretty simple actually. It all lines up. The only thing that I strongly recommend you getting is the A/C Ducts with the dash. Youll need the gauges. They have to be anolog gauges, digital wont work. There is a diagram here that you have to follow to wire it up correctly, but other than that I would day it took me about 4 and a half hours to remove the dash from the totalled trans am (just so I wouldnt break nothing) and about 3 and a half hours to put it in my car
