98 camaro style front end on 96?
Does anybody know if it is possible to put 98 style fascia, front fenders, and headlights on a 96 camaro Z28? My mom has a 98 and it looks like all the same holes and equipment are there, Besides a few brackets maybe.

Ive done that conversion on my 94 TA. Nothing but a bolt on job, very easy but a pain in the a$$ lining up the hood and headlight covers.
Let me know if you want the complete parts list and prices.

It CAN be relatively cheap. One guy on here just kept lookin around until he found all his parts in his color. Junkyards...hookups...whatever. I think he said his cost ended up under 500 bucks. THAT, is probably not typical though. I know it wasn't for me. I ended up getting an original GM SS hood, GM fenders and an aftermarket bumper cover. I found everything on ebay, with the exception of the bumper cover. So I didn't do too bad on those parts, but there's a bunch of other things that add up...fog lights, brackets, hinges, other special pieces...those can make the cost skyrocket. My cost for all the parts was probably closer to 2k since I went with the SS hood instead of plain. (which isn't bad considering list price for the GM SS hood is $1700!)
My entire car had to be repainted due to the fact that it had been vandalized prior to the swap, and I got a top notch $4k paintjob with a hookup for half price. Basically...I went with the high dollar approach, but I wanted showcar quality. I also had about $4k in insurance money from the vandalism as well. You could easily go for the 'economy' approach and get all the parts in junkyard, do all the body work ...and get a Maaco paintjob and save a HUGE about of $$$. It's really all about what you want the final project to look like.
