Aftermarket Steering wheels

Who here is running an aftermarket steering wheel and if you are can I see some pics. I am running a manual rack and want a different wheel but I am not sure what would look good in a Formula.

Thanks
Chad

Re: Aftermarket Steering wheels

I run a basic black Grant GT wheel, I love it but some think its too small a diameter, 13 inch. I don,t have any pics of it but you really need to see and feel a steering wheel in person before you make a decision. This is not easy to do I know but it will help you make a better choice.

Re: Aftermarket Steering wheels

I just wanted the lightest, least expensive wheel that still looked decent. Picked up a Grant Formula GT 13" in gray fake leather. Click on "Step into my office..." in the signature. This is a strip car... NOT a "show car".

Before you pull off your old wheel make sure you can get away with it. Some places will fail you on inspection for removing safty devices like the airbag etc.

Grant does not list replacement steering wheel install kits for "air bag" cars.... its a liability issue. You just need to buy the install kit for a 3rd Gen F-Body. They list that.

A high $$$ alternative.......

It's a Grant Formula 1. I picked it up at a junkyard for $10. Try, www.grantproducts.com

Re: Aftermarket Steering wheels

Yep I have the same wheel as Fred but in black.
I also have a billet steering wheel adapter that Grant makes, I just had it laying around so I put it on my car when I changed out the wheel.
